There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly
InThere Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly, the animals are hungry too, and they start eating the old lady's clothes! This is a hilarious rhyming twist on the well-loved tale.
Artist Kali Stileman's fun illustrations bring the rhyme to life in this unique book, which has die-cut holes and felt teeth on every page, so children can put their hands through the mouths to mimic feeding the creatures.

Today we're reading There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly, illustrated by Kali Stileman. There was an old lady who swallowed a fly, when what should appear but a cat. The cat was quite rude, and wanted some food, so gobbled the old lady's hat! There was an old lady who needed her hat, when what should appear but a goat. He was after a snack as he rushed up the track, and swallowed the old lady's coat! There was an old lady who felt rather cold, when what should appear but a fox. He wanted a meal, so he ran at her heels, and gobbled the old lady's socks. There was an old lady with icy cold feet, when what should appear but a pig. He needed to eat, so he ran down the street and nibbled the old lady's wig! There was an old lady who shouted,"ENOUGH! I'll find something else you can chew." So she got out a pot, and then like a shot, she made them a huge yummy stew!
